Spader Business Management, a nationally recognized management training and consulting firm, currently has an opportunity for a General Manager. We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven individual to direct and manage our organization’s business and meet overall growth objectives.

As the General Manager, you would be responsible for the following:

  • Effectively and efficiently managing our company’s business
  • Providing on-going direction for stable growth and accountability
  • Managing, challenging and developing our employees
  • Coordinating business operations and managing operational costs
  • Identifying business opportunities
  • Developing and leading a positive and productive work culture

 Qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Experience in Business Management or related field
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Practical experience including: P&L responsibilities, formulating policies, monitoring and motivating staff, hiring and training employees, developing strategic plans, weighing risk v. opportunity, and communicating business goals

The Work

As an employee of Spader Business Management, you will work with businesses throughout North America on ways to improve both company and individual productivity, profitability, and performance. You will work directly with business leaders to help analyze, diagnose and resolve key operational challenges while assisting them to reach higher, achieve bigger and be the success they can be.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a former owner or senior executive/manager with significant P&L responsibility, including experience guiding a multi-location business with 100+ employees
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and strong leadership skills
  • Is able to assist clients through one-on one coaching and consulting, facilitating peer groups and presenting our training programs
  • Has demonstrated a consistent record of excellence in management practices along with strong financial acumen
  • Is persistent and self-motivated, undeterred by setbacks and goal-focused
  • Is confident and professional in their ability to contribute thoughts, insights, and new ideas
  • Has the ability to listen to and effectively challenge CEO’s and Senior Executives
  • Is willing to travel

Development Specialist

This employee will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements for financial reports and applications as well as developing advanced spreadsheets. The role also involves quality assurance testing and end-user documentation and education.

We are seeking a self-directed performer with the following talents:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with Mircosoft Excel
  • Strong project management and written communication skills
  • Good general math capabilities
  • Understanding of accounting and business financial statements preferred (4-year degree in Accounting or Business Administration an advantage)
